Mason McTavish appears to be on the move soon, and now two Original Six teams have been linked to the young Ducks star as trade speculation continues to grow.

The off-season has been rather slow around the National Hockey League, but in recent times trade speculation has certainly picked up, with teams looking to start making moves as training camp approaches.

One name to keep an eye on is Anaheim Ducks rising star Mason McTavish, who appears to be on the move at some point, with one Insider revealing his surprising contract demands on a long-term deal.

The 22-year old is looking for a big deal if he gets traded, and with both player and GM seemingly upset with the way things have gone, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him traded before the season.

Unsurprisingly, given his talent and his production thus far, there are many teams around the NHL interested in McTavish, with Insider Jimmy Murphy of RGMedia noting that the Canadiens and Red Wings are at the top of the list of teams chasing McTavish.

In McTavish, those teams would land a 22-year old with over 220 games in the NHL thus far and a career high of 52 points scored a season ago, making him a potential star of the future.

Ultimately, it's unclear why the Ducks refuse to pay the price for that young star to keep him around for a long time, but with frustration growing over his role in the league, don't be shocked to see the interest around the league growing as training camp approaches.
