It Has Finally Been Confirmed for Jakub Dobes, and the Canadiens Make an Announcement

We suspected it, but it has just been confirmed and announced for the young Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes.

It is indeed him who will be in net for his team tonight against the Dallas Stars.

This decision by head coach Martin St-Louis speaks volumes about the confidence he has in his young goalie.

Even though Samuel Montembeault was outstanding in his last two outings, particularly against the Dallas Stars, and even though he is rested and the Canadiens are facing a league powerhouse, Martin St-Louis is trusting Dobes.

Dobes, 23, has a record of 3-0-0 this season with the Montreal Canadiens, a goals-against average of 0.97, and a save percentage of 0.959.

Tonight will mark his fourth career start.
