Ivan Demidov speaks French in a new commercial
James Guillory-Imagn Images

Ivan Demidov has been associated with several companies since his arrival in North America.

And it’s not over yet.

The Canadiens’ young player appears in a new ad for GoPlex, a company that offers an indoor amusement center located in Brossard. It’s another commercial partnership for #93…

In the ad, we see Demidov go-karting, hitting golf balls… and we even hear him say a few words in French:

GoPlex, victory begins here! – Ivan Demidov

Obviously, his French isn’t perfect… but just seeing him put in the effort to make it happen is interesting. The post I’m talking about can be found by clicking on the link below:

Clearly, companies see how popular Ivan Demidov is in Quebec. They’re not afraid to partner with him because he’s already made a star in Montreal… even though he doesn’t even have a full season behind the tie in the National League.

On the other hand, it’s starting to look like a lot for the youngster. Ads here, partnerships with several companies there…

At the same time, we can’t really say it’s affecting his performance on the ice. The youngster has collected 17 points in his last 18 games with the Canadiens, and he’s rolling along at a particularly interesting pace at the moment.

Demidov was even voted NHL Rookie of the Month for December…

I just hope his popularity and all those advertising contracts never affect his game. But the kid has so much talent, it really doesn’t look like I’m worried about that either.

So much the better, in a way, if he’s able to boost his image while enjoying success on the ice.

Overtime

– Reminder: Canada will try to win the bronze medal this afternoon against Finland at the World Junior Championship.

– It’s your turn to answer.

– Times change…

– Sick.
