Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry is an engaged man, as the team released a post on social media X with this exciting announcement earlier today.

It was a memorable long weekend for the Winnipeg Jets captain, Adam Lowry, who shared on social media a personal thrill of his own. Lowry announced publicly on Tuesday that he proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Laura.

Congratulations were flowing on social media, with the engagement news going viral after the team posted a congratulatory message.

'Congratulations! Side note..This city loves you and our Jets!' said one fan.
'Aww, congrats, you two!! We couldn't love you more!!' said another fan.

Adam Lowry has been wearing the «C» for most of the past couple of years and has also been a highly regarded leader off the ice and in the locker room.

While there isn't actually a wedding date being put out there from the couple now, this is a silver lining in what has been a hectic offseason for the star player.

Lowry Recently Had Hip Surgery and Will Miss the Start of Next Season

Lowry is recuperating from hip surgery that he had on May 27. Due to this, he will miss the start of the 2025-26 season. The team will be closely watching how he does as they officially begin the early part of the season with their captain off the ice.

As Lowry recovers, Jets Nation will be seeking health information about him and his upcoming marriage, as well. Meanwhile, the engagement gave Jets Nation a nice bash to kick off the second half of the offseason.
