Jonathan Drouin Hits Epic Career Milestone vs Stars

It was a milestone night for Jonathan Drouin. The 29-year-old forward scored his career 100th goal at 18:30 in the second period against the Dallas Stars on Saturday afternoon.

Drouin achieved the feat in his 578th game against a highly skilled team. He was drafted third overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2013 and spent three seasons with the Bolts before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in the 2017 offseason. After six seasons with the Habs, he signed as a free agent with the Avs for a year. His first season in burgundy and blue was a career-high in points (56) and assists (37).

Drouin was injured in the first game of the season and missed 16 games before returning on Nov. 15. He played four games, was reinjured on Nov. 23, missed the remainder of November, and didn’t return until the last day of 2024. He missed the matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 8 but has played every game since.

The 29-year-old forward has shifted between the top two lines and has averaged 20-plus minutes of ice tie this season. He’s also a staple on the Avalanche power play unit. He has 11 points in 13 games and has only been assessed one penalty so far this season.
