Bad news for the Canadiens.
Kaiden Guhle, who has played two games since his return to action, won’t be in the lineup tonight in Washington. The defenseman was not on the ice for the warm-up period.
Jayden Struble will take his place in the lineup. Remember that yesterday, Guhle collided with Arber Xhekaj in the game against the Canucks…

You have to wonder if this is part of the Canadiens’ plan.
After all, the Habs are playing their third game in four nights and Guhle has only just returned to action. Maybe the organization just wants to be careful with him…
Struble will be reunited with Arber Xhekaj on the blue line: let’s not forget that the two guys have spent a few games on the same pair and haven’t been bad. The Sheriff didn’t have a great game yesterday, but he’ll be able to redeem himself tonight…
And then there’s Josh Anderson.
All indications are that the big forward will be in uniform, as he was on a regular line during the warm-up period.
Andy was paired with Zachary Bolduc and Phillip Danault on the club’s third unit. It’s a line with speed and toughness… and I’m curious to see what it’ll look like on the ice.
The Canadiens’ line-up in warm-up:
Caufield-Suzuki-Texier
Slafkovsky-Kapanen-Demidov
Bolduc-Danault-Anderson

Hutson-Carrier

For the Capitals, defenseman Jakob Chychrun will not be taking part in their game.
The main player involved has to skip his turn because he’s sick.
