Katie Gaudreau shares a promise to her brothers after their tragic death on Thursday night

Friday afternoon was supposed to be the happiest day of Katie Gaudreau's life. The youngest Gaudreau was set to marry her fiance Devin Joyce in a private family ceremony. The couple had just completed their rehearsal Thursday night, when tragedy struck. 

Katie and Devin made the decision to cancel their ceremony  as the family navigated their grief. Now for the first time since the death of her brothers Katie has spoken out.

Katie took to her Instagram account to share her love for her brothers and making the two of them a promise.

To know these two was to love these two. There are absolutely no words have to express the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there would never have been a John without Matty or Matty without John. The absolute best big brothers a little girl could have asked for. This will never be a goodbye post because will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I'll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies.
