The Vancouver Canucks are in sell mode this season, with almost everyone on their roster available for trade. One name to watch and just might be the first name moved is forward Kiefer Sherwood. Last night on TSN Insider Trading, Pierre LeBrun mentioned that the Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and Montreal Canadiens have interest and have already checked in on Sherwood. The Stars may move fast on him now with the news about Tyler Seguin being out for the season. The Canadiens also have holes in their lineup that adding Sherwood would fix. The Canucks are hoping to hold out for a first-round draft pick and maybe even get a prospect as well in return.

Sherwood is a free agent after this season and has a $1.50 million cap hit. In 27 games this season, he has 16 points on 12 goals and four assists. He’s a minus-seven with three power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and a power-play goal.
