A week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings prospect update. This week’s update was highlighted by LA’s second-round draft pick in 2022, Jack Hughes. After not finding the back of the in the first 17 games, Hughes scored twice this past weekend on the power play for his first goals of the season, helping lead Boston University to a weekend sweep over the University of Vermont.

Hughes recorded four points (2 G, 2 A) and went 18/31 in faceoffs (58.1%) over the weekend. He is on a four-game point streak (2 G, 4 A). The Kings have until August 15th to sign him to an entry-level contract or they lose his rights.
