LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 4/6

Another week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings’ weekly prospect update. This week’s update was highlighted by goalie Hampton Slukynsky, who made his professional debut in the AHL with the Ontario Reign.

A week after turning pro and signing a three-year entry-level contract and a PTO (professional tryout) the week before, the 20-year-old was given the starting nod in Friday’s 4-1 Reign win over the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Slukynsky turned away 21 of 22 shots (.955 SV%) to earn his first professional win in his debut. Slukynsky looked poised, possessed a calm demeanor between the pipes, and tracked the puck well. He was as advertised and showed why he has the potential to be a future number-one goalie for the Kings.

Here is how the rest of the prospects in the pipeline did during the week:
