Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is projected to start Monday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks, via David Alter of The Hockey News.

Stolarz is coming off an 18-save victory over the Boston Bruins on March 24. The 32-year-old has posted a 9-9-3 record with a .894 save percentage in 22 appearances this season.

Bo Groulx was recalled from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis. Groulx is with the team in Anaheim and was placed on the second line with Matthew Knies and Matias Maccelli. The 26-year-old made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks, playing in 65 NHL games over parts of three seasons with the club. Groulx made the most of his opportunity through his first nine games with the Maple Leafs, and could be auditioning for a larger role entering next fall. He leads the Marlies in scoring with 27 goals and 50 points in 55 AHL contests.

Calle Jarnkrok and Philippe Myers are expected to be the Maple Leafs’ healthy scratches.

It’s expected to be a physical affair on Monday. Ducks captain Radko Gudas will play, despite dealing with an apparent lower-body injury. Gudas delivered an illegal knee-on-knee hit on Auston Matthews during a March 12 contest, where Matthews suffered a season-ending Grade 3 MCL tear and quad contusion.

With nothing to play for but pride, it will be compelling to see how the Maple Leafs respond from a flat 5-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube stated post-game that Joseph Woll was the only player who showed up for his side. An injection of new life into the top-six rotation could be what he’s looking for.
