The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Conor Geekie from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL). Geekie skated on the third line with Nick Paul and Gage Goncalves in the Lightning’s morning skate and will likely be in the lineups when they face the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night (April 13).

The 6-foot-4, 207-pound forward has appeared in 24 games with Syracuse this season, logging 11 goals and 20 points with two game-winners and eight goals on the power play. Since March 1, Geekie has found the scoresheet in 11 of his 16 games played, recording 10 goals and 17 points to rank second among all Syracuse skaters for scoring during that span.

The 20-year-old has skated in 49 games with Tampa Bay this season, recording six goals and 12 points with two game-winning tallies and 86 hits. The Strathclair, Manitoba native made his NHL debut on October 11 versus the Carolina Hurricanes and logged his first career point, an assist, on October 22 against the New Jersey Devils before scoring his first career goal four days later on October 26 versus the Washington Capitals.

Geekie was originally taken by the Arizona Coyotes in the first round, 11th overall, of the 2022 NHL Draft. He was acquired by the Lightning in the Mikhail Sergachev trade, along with defenseman J.J. Moser, a 2024 seventh-round pick, and a 2025 second-round pick on June 29, 2024.

Geekie played 215 career games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) between the Winnipeg Ice, Wenatchee Wild, and Swift Current Broncos, logging 111 goals, 269 points, and a plus-157 rating.
