
The Los Angeles Kings are the first team to add to start free agency. They first signed forward Erik Haula to a two-year deal with a $3.6 million AAV. Then they added forward Mats Zuccarello along with defenseman Erik Gustafsson. The Zuccarello contract is for one-year worth one million, with bonuses.
In 81 games this past season, Haula had 38 points with the Predators. He had 14 goals and 24 assists. He was a -15 with four power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and a game-winning goal. Zuccarello, in 59 games, had 54 points on 15 goals and 39 assists. He was a minus-five with six power-play goals and five game-winning goals. Gustafsson played for both Detroit and Grand Rapids in the AHL last season. In two games with Detroit, he was pointless and finished as a minus-two with a blocked shot and two hits. In 39 AHL games, he had 37 points on four goals and 33 assists. He was a +21 with two power-play goals and a game-winning goal.

Haula, in 13 years, has played in 840 games, recording 375 points on 167 goals and 208 assists. He’s a +33 with 30 power-play goals, nine shorthanded goals, and 23 game-winning goals. Zuccarello, in 16 seasons he’s appeared in 963 games, recording 744 points on 232 goals and 512 assists. He’s a +48 with 57 power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and 40 game-winning goals. Gustafsson in ten seasons, has appeared in 517 games, recording 240 points on 47 goals and 193 assists. He’s a -17 with 505 blocked shots and 456 total hits.
