Major Hint Emerges About a Potential Canadiens-Stars Trade Ahead of the Deadline

We have received a new hint indicating that a trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Stars could be announced soon.

During last night's game between the Habs and Sabres, one team once again stood out with their scouting presence: the Dallas Stars.

For weeks, this organization has been closely watching Habs players, and once again last night, the Stars were the only organization to have TWO scouts at the Bell Centre.

This is definitely something to keep a close eye on.

Is a trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Stars in the works?

Everything points to that being the case.

We know that David Savard's name has been circulating in Dallas for over a year, we know that a player like Mike Matheson perfectly fits what they're looking for, we know that Mavrik Bourque is available for a trade there, but that's pretty much all we know for now.

The Stars want to make a big move, and a young Quebecer could pay the price.

It's certain that a forward like Bourque could interest Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, but it's also certain that the Canadiens' management will be hesitant to trade a player like Mike Matheson at this time.

In short, be aware that the Stars have been closely watching the Canadiens for quite some time, but especially over the past ten days, in anticipation of the NHL trade deadline.

They have a clear need on defense, especially since their star defenseman Miro Heiskanen suffered an injury.
