The Utah Mammoth are currently 7-3-0 and have won four out of their last five games.
Now, however, they must visit a hot Seattle Kraken team to try to grow the lead in the Central Division.
Who: Utah Mammoth (7-3-0) vs. Seattle Kraken (6-3-1)
Where: ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+.
When: Oct. 22, 8:00 p.m. MT
The Mammoth are playing a pretty hot team in the Kraken. But despite Seattle's record being extremely close to Utah's, it has struggled to keep opponents off the board.
Simply put, playing good offense tonight will be big for Utah if it seeks to knock off the Kraken on the road.
And of course, Utah needs better performances from starting goalie Karel Vejmelka and even backup Sebastian Cossa. Both have shown potential, but neither has really broken out to start this 2026-27 season.
Record Tracker (6-1)
The Kraken have barely survived the last three games, taking an overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, an 8-3 loss to the Florida Panthers, and a 4-3 shootout win over the Detroit Red Wings.
The Mammoth have a real chance to capitalize on Seattle's poor stretch in its last few games. And they will. The Mammoth will win this game with a powerful offensive performance and a good enough performance from Vejmelka.
My final prediction is a 6-4 win for Utah. It's hard to pick against the Mammoth right now, given how well they're playing.
Next, the Mammoth face the Lightning at home on Saturday.
