Maple Leafs Predicted to Land All-Star to Replace Mitch Marner

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost star forward Mitch Marner to the Vegas Golden Knights. Pretty much everyone expected Marner to leave the team, and now the organization has to replace his production in the lineup.

Toronto fell short in the playoffs again, and the front office has been expected to make some big changes. The Maple Leafs have been looking around the NHL for potential moves, and could look to the free agent market for it.

One name could be star forward Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks. Boeser has been expected to leave the Canucks, and could make his way to the Maple Leafs.

NHL writer Joe Tansey of Bleacher Report predicted that Toronto would land Boeser on the open market.

"If he departs, with Boeser on the wing and Toronto might chase after him as a Mitch Marner replacement. Boeser has a world of options, but Toronto almost makes too much sense. The Maple Leafs need another front-end winger to partner Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews. A move to Toronto might be what Boeser needs to re-energize his career after an average year in Vancouver," Tansey wrote.

Bringing Boeser to Toronto could be an excellent choice for the Maple Leafs. While he isn't Marner, he could easily replace the production that Marner leaves on the table.

Boeser scored 25 goals and 25 assists for the Canucks this past season. While Vancouver didn't make the playoffs, Boeser was excellent for them and could bring some real value to the Maple Leafs if signed.
