The Toronto Maple Leafs have been one of the more active teams across the NHL landscape this offseason. Following another early playoff exit, the Maple Leafs front office has been trying to build a more well-rounded roster.
After losing star Mitch Marner in free agency, the Maple Leafs have done a decent job adding pieces to help replace his production. But this team is still missing some depth, and they remain a distant contender in the Eastern Conference.
But according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, Toronto may not be done making moves this offseason. Many teams across the league still believe that the Maple Leafs will continue to add before the new season begins.

Toronto's front office understands that the roster isn't done yet and that they still have some work to do. The Maple Leafs have reportedly been wanting to add another top-six forward to the mix, and it could take place via the trade market.
NHL insider Chris Johnston doubled down on this idea, hinting at some players who could be moved.

The biggest obstacle in any move for the Maple Leafs is that the team lacks a ton of tradable assets. This could be why Toronto may be willing to move some players like Nick Robertson or David Kämpf.
Trading away any of these few players could net the Maple Leafs some extra assets that they could then turn around to use in a different deal. Toronto has multiple options to look into before the offseason ends, and it could see the front office be very active in upgrading this team.
