Matthew Tkachuk Fires Shots at Oilers During His Unfiltered Speech at Panthers Parade Celebration

The Florida Panthers celebrations continued on Sunday, and in his latest speech, Matthew Tkachuk fired some major shots at the NHL as a two-time Champ.

In 2024, the Florida Panthers won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, and now, in 2025, they are once again celebrating as they become the second team from Florida to go back-to-back since 2020.

The celebrations for the team have raged on since Game 6 last Tuesday, and during these celebrations, players like Sam Bennett, Brad Marchand, Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk have won the hearts of their fans even more, while infuriating the rest of the NHL in the process.

In particular, it's been Tkachuk that has riled up opposing fan bases, especially that of the Edmonton Oilers, who he had furious on social media called out their star captain at the club last week.

On Sunday, he called out the league once again, quoting UFC star Conor McGregor with a fiery quote as he addressed the Panthers faithful at their Stanley Cup parade.

'I would like to apologize to absolutely f*ckin nobody because a double champ does whatever the F*CK he wants'

While players like Bennett and Marchand could be departing in free agency, this is still a team full of stars, and with the way they've managed to continue adding to this roster over the past three years, there's no reason why they can't find themselves back here again in 2026.

Ultimately though, they've continued to make themselves the NHL's newest villains in the modern day, and with a quote like this from Tkachuk, you can bet 31 teams are lined up next season looking to knock them off the mountain top.
