Matvei Michkov was involved in a car crash in Dubai, and after some issues with his passport, the court has ruled in his favour as he has left the UAE.
The past few days have been a wild ride for young Philadelphia Flyers star Matvei Michkov, as he was involved in a scary car crash while on vacation in Dubai, although no injuries were reported from the incident.
While he was not the driver in the accident, Michkov reportedly had his passport seized as he was extorted for $100,000, but today, the latest update has revealed that a court has ruled in his favour, with his passport being returned to h im.
'Today, the court ruled in favor of our client, obliging the company to return the passport, which was illegally seized, to Matvei Michkov. No one has the right to keep anyone's personal documents. The actions of the car rental company were not only illegal, but also unjustified in relation to our client, and this court decision serves as a reminder that the UAE legal system uncompromisingly opposes any such violations."
That comes from Michkov's lawyer in this situation Shuk al-Katiri, who worked swiftly to get this issue resolved, and according to all reports, the 20-year old star has already left the UAE after what must have been a scary situation for him.
This entire situation was a very tough one to deal with for Michkov, as lies were spread that the car rental company was going to target him for significant legal action, but his lawyer in the situation worked quickly to bring the truth to light, and now, the talented young Flyers star is set to go about his off-season training after this issue has been put behind him.
