The Minnesota Wild are just days into their 2024-25 season and there is already cause for concern when it comes to one of their best players. Last year the Wild missed the playoffs and fired head coach Dean Evason amidst the lackluster performance. Jared Spurgeon barely played, and he’s now missing time in the first week. Minnesota Wild captain Jared Spurgeon is among one of the most decorated players in franchise history. The 34-year-old has spent all 15 years of his NHL career playing for the franchise. After playing just 16 games last year, and needing multiple surgical procedures, him missing time out of the gate this year is not a great look.
