Nebraska Baseball Tops Omaha 11-5

No midweek thorn from this in-state rival this time.

Nebraska (14-5) scored in six of eight innings to beat Omaha (3-16) 11-5 Tuesday night. NU has won 11 of the last 13 games this season.

Mason McConnaughey recorded a nine strikeouts in his first start for the Huskers, earning the win with 5.0 innings of shutout ball.

At the plate, Will Walsh hit a home run, Joshua Overbeek scored three times, and Josh Caron knocked in three RBI.

Nebraska stays home Wednesday to host North Dakota State.
