The New Jersey Devils revealed their 2024-25 23-man regular season roster following their sweep of the Buffalo Sabres at the Global Series. Previously, the Devils and Sabers were each allowed to carry up to 26 players overseas. However, now back in North America, the rules state each team must be compliant with 23 players.
The roster consists of 13 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders.
The roster announced on Monday is as follows:

Seamus Casey is on the Devils’ 23-man roster. The 20-year-old defenseman has continually impressed — making his NHL debut in the Global Series and scoring his first-career NHL goal. As a result, he’s forced the Devils to keep him around.

The Devils surprisingly waived Nick DeSimone on Sunday with the intention of reassigning him to the Utica Comets. DeSimone was a candidate who is on a one-way deal to grab hold of a spot on the 23-man roster. Instead, the Devils opted for Casey in favor due to his impact in training camp and the Global Series.
