New York Rangers president and general manager Chris Drury announced on Monday that the team has signed forward Dylan Roobroeck to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Roobroeck was drafted by the Rangers 178th overall in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft.

The 19-year-old center played the past three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, his last two coming with the Oshawa Generals. In 136 games with Oshawa, Roobroeck recorded 125 points (41 goals, 84 assists). He finished the 2023-24 season ranked second on the team in points (72) and third in assists (46).

The London, Ontario native also led the team in scoring in the OHL playoffs, adding 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 26 playoff games.

Dylan Roobroeck is a member of a hockey family. His brother, Ryan, is a standout forward for the Niagara IceDogs in the OHL. Ryan, 16, is projected to be a high pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Here is what Daily Faceoff prospect analyst Steven Ellis had to say about Dylan:

“His playmaking is what stands out to me,” Ellis said. “He has great hands and loves to manipulate defenders like his brother Ryan. But for me, the hockey IQ really stands out for Dylan, something you’d hope to see from a forward with bottom-six forward potential. He just hustles out there.”

Dylan also stands at 6-foot-7, 205 pounds.

The Presidents Trophy-winning Rangers knocked off the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes in the first two rounds of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. New York begins play in the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
