Pat Steinberg: Calgary Flames defenseman Yan Kuznetsov was on the ice for their morning skate yesterday. He’s been out with an upper-body injury. Forward Connor Zary (upper-body) was not on the ice.

Wes Crosby: Colorado Avalanche forward Nic Roy missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Dave Hogg: Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin returned from his lower-body injury last night.

Ansar Khan: Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen hasn’t started skating and is still getting treatment. He’s at least seven to 10 days away.

Zach Dooley: Los Angeles Kings forward Adrian Kempe is out with a lower-body injury.

Joe Smith: Minnesota Wild forwards Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek returned to the lineup last night. Forward Marcus Foligno is getting close.

Stefen Rosner: New York Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri has started skating and was shooting on Semyon Varlamov. Palmieri tore his ACL on November 28th.

Stefen Rosner: Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Bruce Garrioch: Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot will meet with doctors today. His right arm is in a splint, and surgery hasn’t been ruled out. If surgery is needed, it’ll be six weeks. No firm timeline as of yet.

Charlie O’Connor: Philadelphia Flyers forward Tyson Foerster was on the ice for their morning skate in a no-contact jersey.

Penguins PR: Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Lou Korac: St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas needed help off the ice in the third period after being tackled by Capitals Pierre-Luc Dubois. Dubois received a match penalty for intent to injure. Coach Jim Montgomery said, “He passed the protocol. He’s healthy.”

Corey Long : Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman missed his third consecutive game with an illness.

Mark Masters : Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz returned to the lineup last night. Defenseman Morgan Rielly returned after missing one game. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was good to go after leaving Monday’s practice early.

Matt Komma : Utah Mammoth forward Barrett Hayton left nine seconds into the game after a collision with teammate Jack McBain. Coach Andre Tourigny after the game: “He will have more exams tomorrow, and we’ll figure out the nature of it.”
