Seven individuals were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday.
Five players and two builders entered the HHoF, most notably Pavel Datsyuk.

The Russian centre was selected by former Oilers’ general manager Ken Holland in the sixth round of the 1998 draft and scored 314 goals and 918 points in 953 career games. On top of that, he won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy four times and the Frank J. Selke Trophy three times.
Also entering the Hall of Fame in the player category were Krissy Wendell, Natalie Darwitz, Jeremy Roenick, and Shea Weber. The latter was drafted by the Nashville Predators while David Poile was the general manager. The NHL’s current director of hockey operations Colin Campbell also entered the Hall.
Poile has the most wins of any general manager in league history, with 1,533 wins in 3,075 games with the Predators from their debut season in 1998 until he retired from the role at the end of the 2022-23 season.
It was announced by Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel on Tuesday that defenceman Logan Stanley will miss the next three games.

Stanley has been solid for the Jets this season, scoring a goal and three points in 11 games, already matching a career-high in goals. He was selected 18th overall by the Jets in 2016 and has five goals and 25 points in 150 career games.
As for the Jets, they’ve had one of the best starts in National Hockey League history, winning 14 of their first 15 games. They are currently in the midst of a six-game win streak after an eight-game winning streak to open the season.
On Tuesday, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported that Anaheim Ducks goaltender James Reimer and Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Riley Stillman were placed on waivers. Moreover, two former Oilers cleared.

Reimer has been in the league for ages at this point, making his National Hockey League debut in 2010-11 after the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted him in the fourth round of the 2006 draft. In recent times, the 36-year-old has bounced around the league, playing for the San Jose Sharks in two stints, the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Detroit Red Wings before landing with the Ducks before the start of the season.
The netminder has only played two games this season, posting an .864 save percentage and a 4.50 goals-against average. Reimer is coming off a season where he played 25 games and had a .904 save percentage and a 3.11 goals-against average with the Red Wings.
