Last season, All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams wanted to be traded from the Las Vegas Raiders amid quarterback issues. On Monday, news came that another receiver wants out of the organization.
Per Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Jakobi Meyers requested a trade amid an appeal for a new contract, but the Raiders have no plans to shop him before the regular season.
#Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers recently met with team brass and requested to be traded, per me and @TomPelissero.

Meyers is the Raiders No. 1 receiver, a position he assumed when Adams was traded to the New York Jets last fall. The former NC State standout is in the final year of the three-year, $33 million deal he signed in 2023.
Meyers, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots, had a career season in 2024 when he recorded 87 receptions for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns.
Meyers has appeared in 91 games and started 70, recording 393 receptions for 4,592 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Raiders need Meyers on the field this season for an upgraded quarterback room that includes new starter Geno Smith.
Meyers and second-year tight end Brock Bowers are the top targets in Las Vegas. Receivers Tre Tucker and rookie fourth-round pick Dont'e Thornton Jr. are behind Meyers on the depth chart.
Without Meyers, Las Vegas doesn't have a receiver that keeps the defense's focus off the middle of the field with Bowers and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty.
It's certainly an unpleasant development for the team as it looks to start heading in the right direction under a new regime.
