NHL Sunday: Bets for all three postseason games

It was nice to have a profitable night on the ice Saturday, but it's a new day. The hope now is we build on that success and finish this week strong.

Due to Tampa surrendering a day of rest due to a concert in their arena we have three games Sunday. With these games comes a handful of plays, from shots on goal (SOG) looks to points props, and one moneyline pick.

Let's get to the spots.

Ondrej Palat point (-110 DK)

As we head to Game 3 in Lightning-Panthers, it feels like we're on course for a sweep. For one thing, the Lightning stole two games on the road, and their offense has come alive at home this postseason.

In six road games thus far, Tampa averages just 2.67 goals scored. In three at home, that number jumps to 4.33.

The Panthers also see a jump in goals allowed on the road, which is my way of saying I want a piece of a Tampa point prop this afternoon.

Ondrej Palat has stuck out to me, partially because of his shot volume and production at home, but mostly his overall involvement this postseason.

Palat recorded a point in Game 2, his sixth of this postseason. He also finished with three SOG in both games thus far on nine attempts, so it's clear he's getting off his chances.

Palat has four points in six games against Florida this year, and his recent success on home ice can't be ignored.

He has four points in three games in Tampa this postseason and has a point in eight straight home games. I lean Palat to score a goal tonight given his shot volume, but I'm opting for the safer route with just a point.

Parlay: Steven Stamkos & Aleksander Barkov 3+ shots (-107 FD)

This Florida and Tampa series has seen both teams get off their shots, averaging over 30 each through two games.

When scanning the available options, the best course of action I see is to take two of the most reliable shooters and parlay them on FanDuel.

Stamkos has nine shots through two games, partially because of how many power plays Florida is surrendering. He is a fine option to take straight, but I like this approach.

Stamkos has reached three SOG in six straight games and five of six against the Panthers this year.

Barkov has hit three shots in both games to start this series and seven of eight this postseason. Against Tampa, he's gone for 3+ SOG in four straight meetings.

I like this combo.

Parlay: Victor Hedman & Adam Fox points (+172 CZR)

I'm rolling with two top defensemen on their team's top power play unit who are skating at home where their team has shown an ability to score more this postseason.

That feels like a doozy of a sentence when I re-read it, but I wanted to convey the simplicity of this play right off the bat.

Hedman has a point in both games to start this series and eight points in six games against Florida this year. He also has eight points in nine playoff games.

Fox was held without a point in both games to start this series, but I will touch on why I like Rangers goals with the next bet. Fox had 10 points in Round 1.

New York Rangers ML (+100 CZR)

Betting on the Rangers to win here is simply a bet on what we have seen transpire this postseason for Carolina. They are a completely different team on the road.

At home this postseason: 6-0, 3.67 goals per game, 1.17 goals allowed per game

On the road this postseason: 0-3, 2.0 goals per game, 4.67 goals allowed per game

That is a stark difference in production, particularly the goals allowed, 3.5 higher on the road than at home!

When digging into similar splits for the Rangers, you see a team that has done its scoring at home in these playoffs. They have had two poor starts to this series but I like them to grab a game at home and make this competitive.

Parlay: Connor McDavid & Johnny Gaudreau assists (+146 FD)

Our first of two plays targeting these two stars is found under the player performance parlay section on FanDuel.

This series has 23 total goals through two games, and there's no one more reliable than McDavid and Gaudreau to be involved in scoring.

McDavid has an assist in all but one postseason game this year (14 total) and has eight assists in six games against Calgary this year.

Gaudreau also has an assist in all but one game this postseason and has tallied five total through two games this series.

He has 12 total assists in six games against Edmonton this year.

.5u parlay: Connor McDavid & Johnny Gaudreau over 3.5 SOG (+260 FD)

We loaded up this player performance parlay found on FanDuel on Friday to success, and we go right back to it at even better odds.

Both of those teams are letting up shots and goals, and the location switch to Edmonton doesn't do much to quell expectations on that front.

McDavid has hit this number in five straight games and averages 4.3 SOG per game against Calgary this season.

Gaudreau has gone over 3.5 shots in four straight and six of his last seven. Both players are getting their attempts off and I see that continuing here in what has been an explosive series up to this point.

Good luck today, let's have another great day and cash some NHL bets.
