The NHL's return is just a few months away, and now, the league have officially announced their opening week matchup along with their full schedule.
After a long and successful 2024/25 campaign, the NHL's return is just over three months away, and with some big changes this off-season, it's safe to say that there's so much to look forward too for every fanbase around the league.
Now, the league have officially announced the entire schedule, including opening week matchups and home matchups for all 32 teams, with some iconic showdowns set to take place in the beginning of October.
Some of those matchups include the Rangers vs. Penguins, Jets vs. Stars and of course the Battle of Alberta in Edmonton, with all 32 teams now knowing exactly when and who against their pursuit of the Stanley Cup will officially begin.
The season officially begins on October 7th with an impressive triple header involving Chicago vs. Florida, New York vs. Pittsburgh and Los Angeles vs. Colorado, and with so many teams expected to contend this season, it's set to be the start of a thrilling campaign.
This season will be the one where the Florida Panthers aim to be the first team since the early 1980's to win three straight Stanley Cups, and with so many teams looking to knock them off, this may be one of the most competitive seasons in recent NHL memory.
For further information, all 32 teams have or will be releasing their entire schedule on Wednesday, but for now we know the home opener for all of those teams, and with so many high profile matchups early in the season, it's one for fans to look forward too.
