NHL Wednesday bets for all three playoff games

Tuesday night was a fantastic one if you joined us here on our prop plays, with the article bets finishing 8-2. Now, it's about sustaining that momentum with a fresh night on the ice.

The NHL playoffs continue on, and so too do our bets. We have seven bets here, six props and one puckline wager.

Let's get to the spots.

Sidney Crosby assist (-115 DK)

I find these odds to be quite generous for what Sidney Crosby has done thus far this series. In four games, the Pittsburgh star has piled up seven assists.

The Penguins have been averaging five goals per game, so it appears oddsmakers think Igor Shesterkin gets right in net for the Rangers. He has really struggled, and I'm not ignoring the volume that Crosby is pushing out here.

I'll gladly bet on an assist here, even if they net just three goals, Crosby is very likely to be involved.

Mika Zibanejad over 2.5 SOG (-110 DK)

It's do or die for the Rangers Wednesday night, and with that in mind, I'm going to one of their top players in Mika Zibanejad.

New York has had solid success in these four games as it relates to getting the puck on net, so the opportunities exist. I believe we are getting such generous odds on Zibanejad because he has finished with two SOG in two straight.

Despite that, he did have 11 attempts in those games, so he's been involved, and I expect a rise in urgency given what is at stake.

Zibanejad covered his SOG in the first two games of this series, which both happened to be at home. Well, they're back in Madison Square Garden, so we bet here on a return to that home success.

Jake Guentzel over 3.5 SOG (+115 DK)

It's good to find some plus-money out there, and Jake Guentzel has been rolling with his shots in this series. He's covered his SOG in three of four, averaging six SOG per game.

It's nice to see a guy not just scraping by his line, but blowing past it. His lone miss was with three shots, so we give him the nod Wednesday for Pittsburgh.

Parlay: Adam Fox and Aaron Ekblad 1+ point each (+190 CZR)

For those who have been following for some time now, the trend of defensemen points has been a profitable one for us. We continue that approach Wednesdy with Adam Fox and Aaron Ekblad. I considered drinking the juice on both of these men, with odds at -140 to -150, but I'll be parlaying them to minimize the risk.

Fox has a point in all four games this series, and it helps to see him as a member of the top power-play unit. I expect the Rangers to shoot plenty and yes the hope would be that goals follow.

As for Ekblad, he's been a personal favorite for a few games, and we'll load him up once again. Ekblad has four points in his last three games and in seven games against Washington this season, he has eight points.

I expect Florida to come out aggressive with scoring Wednesday night, which we'll touch on in the next bet.

Florida -1.5 (+110 CZR)

Florida got a much needed win on Monday to knot this series and returns home, where their offense has popped time and time again this season.

Coming off an overtime win, I like the Panthers to carry that momentum here in a series that should not be tied. Florida is the far superior team and back at home, I like them to pour on goals Wednesday and win comfortably.

Parlay: Aleksander Barkov and Johnny Gaudreau over 2.5 SOG (+171 CZR)

Barkov has been steady with his shots this entire series, clearing this 2.5 line in each game. We're just keeping it simple and following that hit-rate, just as we have been doing for the last few games.

Calgary is coming off a monster 54-shot effort, and I like the shots to continue back at home in an extremely important Game 5.

Gaudreau is rolling right now, piling up 11 SOG in the past two games. What I like about Johnny Hockey in this parlay is his shot attempts. In the last three games, he's averaging nearly 10 attempts per game.

He's hit this 2.5 line at a 63% rate at home this season, and I want to follow his recent surge in shot volume.

Mikael Backlund over 2.5 SOG (+100 DK)

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times: give a guy a chance to bounce back if he let you down last game. Sometimes I don't follow this advice, but I will Wednesday with Mikael Backlund.

Monday's game was the first miss Backlund has had against Dallas this season, finishing with two SOG. While he missed, he still got off seven shot attempts. His involvement is clear, and he deserves a chance to get right.

Best of luck Wednesday night! Let's have ourselves a great Wednesday and cash some NHL bets.
