The actions of Nikolaj Ehlers, or lack thereof, during the free agency period, have led a lot of fans to take to social media and absolutely blast him publicly.

With free agency in its third day in the NHL, various teams are still working to stock up their rosters, though with only a few marquee names left still unsigned.

This list of remaining players boasts the speedy winger Nikolaj Ehlers, who has not yet signed a deal for the 2025-26 season.

Fans appear to be sick and tired of waiting for Ehlers to make a decision

The Danish 29-year-old, a 10-year veteran of the Winnipeg Jets, will probably be out of Manitoba, leaving it in the rearview mirror. But the long wait to sign has fueled rage from fans on social media, who have accused him of stringing them along.

Some have questioned his commitment or whether he had overestimated himself in a cap-strapped market.

Ehlers, who was selected ninth overall in 2014, has 520 points (225 goals, 295 assists) in 674 regular-season games and 21 points in 45 playoff games.

With limited ice time, often on the second power-play unit, he's hit 60 points in a season four times.

Veteran defenseman Dmitry Orlov is also unsigned following his second season with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The other major deals on Day 2 included Pius Suter signing a two-year, $8.25-million deal with the St. Louis Blues and former Ehlers teammate Mason Appleton signing a two-year, $5.8-million deal in Detroit.

The Jets signed Gustav Nyquist to a one-year, $3.25-million deal, the Canucks signed Pierre-Olivier Joseph, and the Leafs signed Vinni Lettieri.
