The Edmonton Oilers announced forward Zach Hyman and goaltender Devon Levi were activated off injured reserve and will be available to play Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks.

Hyman, 34, was injured during a game against the Detroit Red Wings last month. He appeared to hit his head against the glass and fell to the ice, then required help to the dressing room from the Oilers’ training staff.

Hyman’s injury comes soon after he missed more than two weeks due to an injury sustained during Edmonton’s regular-season opener against the Canucks. He missed six games then returned to the lineup Oct. 17 against the Utah Mammoth.

Through six games, Hyman has one goal and is averaging 17:56 of ice time. Now in his 12th NHL season, the Toronto native has 262 goals and 234 assists for 496 points in 717 regular-season games with the Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs. He scored a career-high 54 goals with Edmonton in 2023-24.

Hyman, a 2010 fifth-round pick for the Florida Panthers, also has 42 goals and 33 assists for 75 points in 106 career Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was part of the Oilers’ back-to-back Stanley Cup Final runs in 2024 and 2025, and scored a league-leading 16 goals during the postseason in 2024.

Meanwhile, Levi posted a 6-1-0 record with an .887 save percentage (SV%) and 3.11 goals against average (GAA). In 46 career NHL games, the native of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que., is 23-18-2 with an .893 SV% and 3.26 GAA with the Oilers and Buffalo Sabres.

Levi, a seventh-round pick for the Florida Panthers in 2020, has appeared in 120 regular-season AHL games with the Rochester Americans across three seasons. He’s posted a 64-39-22 record with a .914 SV% and 2.52 GAA.
