Olympics: Victor Hedman Out Against United States

Sweden and the United States are facing off right now, with the winner advancing to the semifinals of the Olympic tournament. The score is currently 0-0 in the second period. Sweden is playing a man down today because Rasmus Andersson isn’t dressed, and Victor Hedman sustained an injury during warm-ups. The broadcast team mentioned halfway through the period that Victor Hedman hadn’t played a shift yet. Coach Sam Hallam told Swedish TV that he suffered a lower-body injury during warm-ups. has come out as to why he didn’t play. The loser of this game will be eliminated, with the winner keeping their dreams of winning a gold medal alive. Hedman, in four games at the Olympics, has a goal and an assist. In 21 games for the Lightning, he has 13 assists, and he’s a plus-two. Hedman returned from an elbow injury at the end of January.

He won the Conn Smythe in 2019-20, in which he played in 25 playoff games, recording 22 points on ten goals and 12 assists. he was a +13 with three power-play goals and three game-winning goals.
