Andre Lee had himself a breakout campaign with the Ontario Reign. After getting a substantial run with the Kings in the 2024-25 season, Lee came into the season with one goal in mind: improve his overall game. The 2019 seventh-round pick stated during the season that he wanted to work on his puck touches and stickhandling over the summer to fine-tune those smaller areas in his game.
His work paid off offensively. Lee found the back of the net 26 times, and I bet all 99% of those goals came within five feet of the net. His role on the penalty kill stayed the same, but he saw time on both power-play units and proved to be a valuable asset as a net front presence with his 10 power-play goals.

Unfortunately, his goal scoring dried up near the end of the season as he found the back of the net twice in his final 15 games (regular season and playoffs). He also suited up for seven games and recorded two points for the Kings.

Lee is entering the final year of his contract and is a player who will require waivers to be assigned to the Reign if he doesn’t make the Kings. The Kings will need to figure out if he is a player who can help contribute in 2026-27.
