Panthers' Paul Maurice Raises Eyebrows With Game 6 Comments

The Florida Panthers failed to advance past the Toronto Maple Leafs in game 6 of their second-round series. Florida was shut out in the game and will now be heading on the road for Game 7.

It was a poor effort all around from the Panthers, and an opportunity that the team knows they let slip away. While Florida has won a game in Toronto this series already, playing a Game 7 on the road is never fun.

Florida was able to generate 22 shot attempts against the Maple Leafs, but the offense looked flat from the start. Maple Leafs goalie Joseph Woll recorded his first career playoff shutout, sending this series back to Toronto.

“We didn’t get the puck there early enough, but we launched it a bunch of times,” Panthers coach Paul Maurice said. “I thought we were late with the puck. ... There’s not much offense, and these are two pretty good offensive teams, yet there was not much to be had out there. They played hard, we played hard, and it was tight.”
