Patrick Kane spent the majority of his career with the Chicago Blackhawks, and even after landing in Detroit, he continues to show love to the city of Chicago.
The Chicago Blackhawks will always by synonymous with Patrick Kane, as the former No. 1 overall pick was vital to the dynasty that defined the National Hockey League in the early 2010's.
In his career with the team, Kane played in over 1,100 regular season games and 136 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, becoming an icon for the Original Six franchise, with many seeing him as one of the two or three greatest players the team have ever had.
However, he would depart the team as they moved into their rebuilding phase, landing in New York before eventually settling with another Original Six team in the Detroit Red Wings.
The 36-year old has not forgotten those roots however, as video has now emerged of him skating with local youth players in Chicago, including his son, who is seen rocking a Red Wings jersey in the video.
This video emerges on the day that many in Chicago sports celebrate as Patrick Kane Day (8/8), a celebration of the greatest player in the modern era of the Blackhawks franchise.
Ultimately, Kane will eventually retire from the NHL and come back to the Blackhawks to have his jersey retired, and thankfully for all those fans, he continues to show love and respect to the organization he spent over 15 years with, as this video released on Patrick Kane Day shows just how much the city means to him and how much he means to the city.
