Paul Bissonnette apologizes to Mitch Marner & makes a shocking prediction

Paul Bissonnette has been pretty harsh on Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner, especially during last season's playoffs.

During a playoff series against the Boston Bruins, Mitch Marner was absolutely awful. He wasn't going after loose pucks and he was playing some of the worst hockey of his career. As a result, Bissonnette called Marner 'pathetic' in a clip that has since gone viral and has probably motivated Marner quite a bit.

Having said all of that, it would appear as though Bissonnette has changed course on Marner. In a new episode of 'Spittin Chiclets,' Bissonnette argues that Marner is going to win the Selke trophy. Moreover, he goes one step further and assets that Marner could realistically go out and win the Art Ross Trophy for scoring the most points.

'I think that there's a possibility that Mitch Marner can lead the league in scoring I think he might win the Art Ross Trophy this year.'

This is a strong prediction and even his co-hosts aren't so sure about it. He will have to compete with the likes of Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid, perhaps Connor Bedard, and even Auston Matthews. Having said that, there is always a puncher's chance he could win it.

This is quite the prediction, and there is no telling whether or not this is going to actually materialize. However, Marner is in a contract year, so there will be motivation for him to go out and have a spectacular year.
