Penguins acquire F Hendrix Lapierre from Capitals

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Hendrix Lapierre from the Washington Capitals on Thursday.

The Capitals received a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round selection in exchange.

Lapierre, 24, is a pending restricted free agent. He tallied 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 2025-26.

He has 47 points (13 goals, 34 assists) in 158 career games since the Capitals drafted him in the first round (22nd overall) in 2020.
