MONTREAL — The Pittsburgh Penguins made a couple of lineup changes Monday before their game against the Montreal Canadiens at Centre Bell.
Rookie forward Rutger McGroarty and rookie defenseman Jack St. Ivany were healthy scratches. Jesse Puljujarvi took McGroarty’s spot in the lineup on the third line with Lars Eller and Drew O’Connor.
Ryan Shea is on the third pair in St. Ivany’s place, skating on the right side with Ryan Graves on the left.
This season, McGroarty was pointless in three games with a minus-1 rating. St. Ivany was also pointless. He had a minus-2 rating and moments of defensive struggles in the early games.
The Penguins are 1-2-0 and face Montreal Monday before returning home for games against the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes this week.
