Fraser Minten was born on July 5, 2004, in Vancouver, British Columbia. The left-shot forward played for the West Van Academy U15 club in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League during the 2017-18 season. He scored nine goals with 29 assists in 26 games while contributing five points in the postseason.
The following season, Minten moved onto the Bantam team and tallied 15 goals and a league-leading 50 assists in 29 games, making the All-Academic Team. During the 2019-20 season, Minten joined the U18 team and registered 20 goals and 41 assists in 34 games. During the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, the Kamloops Blazers selected Minten in the fourth round with the 72nd overall pick.

On October 11, 2023, Minten made his debut with the Maple Leafs against the Montreal Canadiens and played 11:32 of ice time over 14 shifts, registering one shot on goal. Minten played four straight games and was demoted to the Toronto Marlies. Minten scored his first NHL goal against the Vegas Golden Knights on November 20, 2024.
On March 7, 2025, Minten was traded to the Boston Bruins with a conditional first-round pick in 2026 and a fourth-round selection in 2025 for defenseman Brandon Carlo. The young center played six games with Boston and recorded one goal. In eleven games with the Providence Bruins of the AHL, Minten scored three goals with four assists.
Minten entered training camp for the 2025-26 season seeking a full-time spot on the Boston Bruins roster. After six preseason games, Minten made the Bruins opening night lineup and will center the third line.
