The Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche finalized a trade on Saturday involving minor league players and draft picks.
The Predators sent forward Juuso Parssinen and a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft to Colorado in exchange for forward Ondrej Pavel and a third-round pick in 2027.
Parssinen, 23, has spent his professional career split between the NHL and the AHL. He appeared in 15 games for the Predators this season, contributing two goals and three assists before being sidelined since Dec. 10.
Over 104 NHL games, Parssinen has registered 42 points and will add depth to Colorado’s forward group.
Parssinen is playing on a one-year deal worth $775,000 and he's scheduled to enter restricted free agency with arbitration rights in July.

In return, Nashville acquired 24-year-old Ondrej Pavel, who has played exclusively in the AHL this season with the Colorado Eagles.
Pavel, in his second professional season, has struggled with injuries and registered just two assists in 14 games this year.
The new Predators player is signed to a two-year deal with a $950,000 cap hit and will also become an RFA at the end of the season.
This is the second trade between the two clubs this season, following a goaltender swap involving Justus Annunen and Scott Wedgewood in November.
While the Predators and the Avalanche share the same division, trading players between them shouldn't be and wasn't a problem in this case considering Nashville sits seventh with 29 points (11-18-7 record) and Colorado (22-15) is third with 44.
