The Pittsburgh Penguins knew Ville Koivunen could score. He was putting on a clinic Wednesday night in an American Hockey League.

Koivunen had four goals, and that was just through the first two periods, as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton took an 8-0 lead into the third period against the visiting Hershey Bears. His fourth goal was his 14th of the season.

The 21-year-old winger was a key piece in the return when the Penguins dealt winger Jake Guentzel to the Carolina Hurricanes. PHN had an updated scouting report on Koivunen just last week.

He was joined by Vasily Ponomarev, who had two goals, and goaltender Sergei Murashov, who stopped all 14 shots he faced through 40 minutes.

This report will be updated.
