The Washington Capitals host the New York Rangers tonight at 7:00 PM EST as they look to get their 3rd win of the season.

The Capitals are coming off a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. That game showcased the offence that the Capitals built throughout the offseason. Alex Tuch, in his first season with the Capitals, has 3 goals and is making the Capitals' offence better each game. But tonight, they'll face a strong Rangers team with one of the NHL's best goalies.

The projected lines for the Capitals are:

Alex Tuch -- Pierre-Luc Dubois -- Tom Wilson

Alex Ovechkin -- Dylan Strome -- Anthony Beauvillier

Alaiksei Protas -- Ilya Protas -- Jordan Kyrou

Boone Jenner -- Justin Sourdif -- Ryan Leonard

Jakob Chychrun -- Timothy Liljegren

Martin Fehervary -- Vincent Desharnais

Cole Hutson -- Dylan McIlrath

Logan Thompson

Charlie Lindgren

The projected lines for the Rangers are:

Gabe Perreault -- Mika Zibanejad -- Alexis Lafreniere

Tye Kartye -- J.T. Miller -- Pavel Dorofeyev

Will Cuylle -- Noah Laba -- Eeli Tolvanen

Oliver Bjorkstrand -- Cole Beaudoin -- Jaroslav Chmelar

Vladislav Gavrikov -- Adam Fox

Marcus Pettersson -- Sean Durzi

Alberts Smits -- Braden Schneider

Igor Shesterkin

Dylan Garand

The starting goaltenders in tonight's matchup seem to be Igor Shesterkin for the Rangers and Logan Thompson for the Capitals. The Rangers will be without Joonas Korpisalo (lower body) and Joseph Veleno (lower body), and they've also scratched Scott Morrow and Matt Rempe for tonight's game. The Capitals will be without Rasmus Sandin (knee) and Matt Roy (lower body). The Capitals have also scratched Ivan Miroshnichenko and Ethen Frank for tonight's matchup.

The Capitals will have their offence tested tonight as they face one of the NHL's best defensive teams, the Rangers, who have allowed only 8 goals in 5 games.
