Sean Kuraly Returns To Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have made some interesting signings this free agency. They first traded for forward Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers, then signed Tanner Jeannot. Now they’ve signed a familiar face, as they have signed Sean Kuraly to a two-year deal with a $1.85 AAV. In 82 games this season, Kuraly had 17 points on six goals and 11 assists. He was a minus-four with 40 penalty minutes and a faceoff percentage of 54.3%.

Kuraly started his career with the Bruins, where he spent the first five seasons of his career. In 270 games with the Bruins, he recorded 68 points on 24 goals and 44 assists. He was a -12 with 134 penalty minutes, as well as 525 hits. In four seasons after that with Columbus, he played in 292 games, recorded 85 points on 40 goals and 45 assists. He was a -35 with 209 penalty minutes and 746 hits. In nine career seasons, he has played in 562 games, recording 153 points on 64 goals and 89 assists. He is a -47 with 343 penalty minutes and one power-play goal, as well as 1,271 hits. Kuraly was on the Bruins roster that went to the Stanley Cup in 2019, but lost to the St. Louis Blues.
