The Florida Panthers finally got the upper hand in the 2025 Stanley Cup Final, as they followed up their 5-4 overtime victory in Game 2 against the Edmonton Oilers with a 6-1 win in Game 3 Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
The Panthers left no doubt about which team was better in Game 3. With the game seemingly out of reach of the Oilers down the stretch in the third period, chaos erupted between the players.
Meanwhile, Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky caught attention for simply doing nothing while his teammates and Oilers players went at each other.
The veteran netminder watched the skirmish from his "office," just staring at the action from the crease as time expired. Bobrovsky's demeanor did not reflect the animosity that was transpiring in front of him.
Nevertheless, fans seemed to love Bobrovsky's actions during that otherwise wild moment on the ice
"Bobby just being glorious per usual," said a fan on Instagram.
Another one said: "Bob is resetting and refocusing to do it again in game 4.”
From a commenter: "Bob really just chilling ”
“Bob just enjoying the movie with his popcorn,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Bob's just a chill guy”
Said another: “Only Bob puts Bob in the corner.”
Where Bobrovsky showed fierceness, however, was while doing his job between the pipes.
He turned away 32 of 33 shots on goal by the Oilers in Game 3 and also made nine stops while Edmonton was on the power play. Thanks in large part to the two-time Vezina Trophy winner, the Panthers managed to hold Edmonton to just 1-for-6 on the man advantage.
So far in the 2025 NHL playoffs, Bobrovsky has 14 wins with three shutouts to go along with a 2.15 goals against average and .916 save percentage.
