Seth Jarvis got the taste of playing for Team Canada in 2025, and now he's made a massive sacrifice in order to represent them at the 2026 Olympic Games.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are always the toughest time of the season for NHL players, and year after year, we see plenty of players fight through injuries in order to chase the ultimate dream.

Unfortunately for Carolina's Seth Jarvis, it appears as though he suffered a shoulder injury in these latest playoffs, with the suggestion that he may need to undergo surgery.

According to recent reports, Jarvis played through much of the season with the injury that's plagued him for quite some time, with surgery being deemed 'inevitable' at this point.

However, according to Walt Ruff, that surgery won't occur this off-season, as Jarvis has revealed he would miss too much of the regular season, putting his chances to play for Team Canada in the 2026 Olympic Games in jeopardy.

Instead, he'll continue to fight through the pain in order to get selected, and after putting up 67 points in back-to-back seasons in a key position down the middle, it's very likely that he'll represent Team Canada again after playing in the Four Nations in 2025.

In an interview after the teams Stanley Cup Playoffs loss, Jarvis revealed that surgery doesn't do much for him hockey wise, and as a result, this is a calculated move from the 23-year old.

This doesn't come without risk however, as playing through the injury without surgery could hurt him in the long run, but hockey players have always known how to make sacrifices of their own bodies for their team, and with Olympic Gold on his mind, he's going to make a huge sacrifice next season.
