The Chicago Blackhawks traded Seth Jones to the Panthers in 2025, and after winning the Cup, the fans made sure to thank them during their celebration.

The Florida Panthers have now won the Stanley Cup in back-to-back seasons, and while their stars once again showed out with Sam Reinhart tallying an incredible four goals in the series clinching victory, it was their depth that led the way once more.

Players like Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand got all the plaudits, but the likes of Gustav Forling, Aaron Ekblad, AJ Greer and so many others played a key role in this iconic second victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

One player that was crucial for this team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs was defenseman Seth Jones, who tallied 9 points in the post-season along with a +11 differential, ranking him first on the teams blue line as he stepped up in a way the team believed he could when they made the deal with Chicago.

Now, the day after their victory as the Panthers continued their celebrations, Panthers fans made sure to shout out the trade that saw Jones come over from the Blackhawks at the deadline, chanting 'Thank you Blackhawks' while Jones and Matthew Tkachuk celebrated with the Cup.

While this is what the Panthers envisioned when getting Jones, it's safe to say that this is a trade that could benefit both parties, as Chicago now have a goaltender of the future in Spencer Knight, but right now, it may be hard for some 'Hawks fans to see Jones celebrating the Cup.

Ultimately, it was a good deal for both teams, but right now, it's the Panthers celebrating their second straight Stanley Cup, and with still so much depth on their roster, this may be a team that once again challenges for the title again in 2026.
