With Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final set to kick off tonight between the New York Rangers vs. Florida Panthers, a lot of discussion has revolved around whether the Rangers should play Matt Rempe in Game 2.
Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Tyler Yaremchuk and Frank Seravalli chime in and weigh their opinions on whether the Rangers should slot “The Rempire State Building” into the lineup.
Tyler Yaremchuk: Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final is tonight and there have been a lot of questions and it confuses me why it’s such a big question but should the Rangers put Rempe in the lineup tonight?
Frank Seravalli: So I love the Rempe conversation, I love what he has brought. He’s been an emotional and physical force for them, every time he is in the lineup he has brought it. But the problem is who do you take out if you put him in? I talked about this yesterday with Colby Cohen. I want to get him in there but there isn’t anyone I would favor over Rempe to slot him in.
Tyler Yaremchuk: For me, I chuckle at it a bit, yes he brings the emotional and physical side of it but he hasn’t played double-digit minutes in five or six games. To me, if you’re a Rangers fan thinking you’re losing because Rempe isn’t in the lineup, I think there are bigger problems to focus on if you end up going down 2-0, but I don’t think the Rangers will.
