St. Louis Blues Place Marc-Andre Gaudet on Waivers

The St. Louis Blues face the Dallas Stars tonight in their first preseason game of the season. Ahead of tonight’s game, they placed defenseman Marc-Andre Gaudet on waivers. The plan is for him to clear waivers and be sent to the Springfield Thunderbirds in the AHL.

He appeared in 53 games for Springfield last season, recording 20 points on five goals and 15 assists. He was a -14 with three power-play goals. Gaudet appeared in 11 Calder Cup Playoff games for the Thunderbirds, recording four points on a goal and three assists; he was even in plus/minus.

The Blues drafted Gaudet 152nd overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He’s appeared in 66 games in the AHL, recording 20 points, all of which came last season; he’s a -12. He’s also appeared in 67 career ECHL games with the Orlando Solar Bears and Florida Everblades. Gaudet had 36 points on ten goals and 26 assists. He was a +16 with two power-play goals and two game-winning goals. In 11 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he has six points on a goal and five assists. He’s a minus-three.
