2023 fourth-round pick Jakub Stancl broke out on Saturday with a surprise hat trick for the Springfield Thunderbirds — the first of his pro career. Even though Springfield fell 4–3 in overtime, it was easily the 20-year-old forward’s strongest showing since turning pro.
His third goal came in the third period, tying the game and completing his first professional hat trick:

Before this game, Stancl had managed just one goal in his first 10 AHL appearances this season. The Czech forward signed his entry-level contract with the Blues in 2024 after a solid year in the WHL and a standout performance at the World Juniors. Saturday’s hat trick was a reminder of the scoring touch he showed in junior and a promising sign as he continues adjusting to the pro level.
Quinton Burns, a 2023 third round pick, is playing his first pro season with the Florida Everblades in the ECHL.
On Saturday, the 20-year-old defenseman scored his first professional goal, delivering a second-period tally to give the Blades the lead against the Norfolk Admirals. That goal, combined with another assist, brought his totals to three points in nine games so far this season.

Florida also beat Norfolk on Friday, and Saturday’s 5–2 win completed a strong back-to-back sweep. The Everblades are now 14-5-1-1, sitting second in the Eastern Conference.
2024 first-round pick Adam Jiricek and 2024 third-round pick Adam Jecho have both made the World Junior Championship roster for Czechia. 2025 sixth-round pick Love Harenstam made the roster for Sweden.
Jiricek is currently playing in the OHL for the Brantford Bulldogs. The 19-year-old defenseman has appeared in 25 games, recording 10 goals, 19 assists, and 29 points. He has helped the Bulldogs remain at the top of the OHL standings with a 21-2-4-1 record.
Jecho, who serves as the assistant captain of the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL, has been a steady playmaker for the team. The 19-year-old forward has played 26 games, tallying 6 goals, 15 assists, and 21 points. The Oil Kings lead the Central Division with a 21-6-1-1 record.

Harenstam, the starting goalie for Södertälje SK in Sweden, has been a brick wall all season. While his record stands at 6-11-0, he has posted a 2.13 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 17 games. At just 18 years old, there’s no doubt he is a high-level goalie. The offense in front of him has struggled to provide support, but he continues to do his job night in and night out.

2024 fifth-round pick William McIsaac hasn’t put up a lot of points this season for the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL, but he’s still contributing in many ways. On Friday, the Chiefs faced the Swift Current Broncos, and McIsaac finished the game with a +2 rating in a 6-4 win. The next day, they played the Tri-City Storm and won 4-2, with McIsaac finishing +1.
Although he didn’t record any points in these games, he was on the ice for key goals and played an important role. His defense was amazing keeping pucks out of the zone. He totaled 10 shots over the two games but couldn’t find the back of the net. This season, McIsaac has played 26 games, recording 3 goals, 7 assists, and 10 points.
2025 first-round pick Justin Carbonneau scored both goals for Blainville-Boisbriand in their 3-2 loss to Rimouski Océanic on Friday. Blainville outshot Rimouski 55-21 and held a 2-0 lead in the second period.
Carbonneau’s second goal came midway through the second, when he ripped a one-timer from the top of the left circle. The shot was perfectly placed to the far side as the goalie slid across the crease in an attempt to stop it. The combination of accuracy and power made it unstoppable.
A rocket by Justin Carbonneau, for his 2nd goal of the game!
