St. Louis Blues Sign Milan Lucic to PTO

The St. Louis Blues today announced the signing of forward Milan Lucic to a PTO. Lucic hasn’t played since 2023-24, when he appeared in four games for the Boston Bruins. He had two assists, finishing as a minus-one with two penalty minutes. Lucic left the Bruins to enter the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program following an incident. The 37-year-old forward will look to continue his career in the NHL.

Milan Lucic

The Bruins drafted Lucic 50^th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He spent his first eight seasons with the Bruins, appearing in 566 games, recording 342 points on 139 goals and 203 assists. Lucic was a +92 with 20 power-play goals, 26 game-winning goals, and 772 penalty minutes. He won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011. In 2015-16, he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. Lucic appeared in 81 games that season, recording 55 points on 20 goals and 35 assists. He was a +26 with two power-play goals, five game-winning goals, and 79 penalty minutes.

He then went on to join the Edmonton Oilers, where he spent three seasons. In 243 games, he had 104 points on 39 goals and 65 assists. He was a -24 with 17 power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 221 penalty minutes. Lucic then went on to join the Calgary Flames, where in four seasons he played in 283 games. He had 83 points on 35 goals and 48 assists. He was a -36 with nine power-play goals, a game-winning goal, and 227 penalty minutes.
